WHAT THE HECK IS A BEACON BASH?
The Backcountry Beacon Bash is an annual event that tests backcountry skiers' and snowboarders' Avalanche rescue skills. For this project, the client requested to have the event sponsor's logos on the event flyer. I worked with the client to provide all necessary event details and used my photography to enhance the authenticity of the Event Banner. My thought process was to engage the client's target market and interest them in checking out the event.

PHOTOGRAPHY
The photography for this project was locally sourced in the Colorado backcountry. Our process involved coordinating a backcountry skiing and riding group to align with optimal shooting conditions.
While working on this assignment, our team utilized two-way radios to capture high-quality shots, which facilitated a smooth layout and editing process.
2019
For the inaugural Beacon Bash, I worked directly with the founders to help establish an event designed to bring the backcountry skiing and riding community together for preseason practice.
My contributions to this initial event included managing the typography and layout, as well as scheduling and executing the event photography.
